The South African Students Congress (SASCO) will be hosting its 8th National General Council (NGC) over the coming weekend. The NGC is a mandatory meeting which is convened in between the National Congress which is biannual and serves as a platform where the organization uses to review its organisational policies and evaluate the state of the Higher Education sector in South Africa.
The NGC will deliberate amongst other things:
⁃ State of Higher Education
⁃ Student Funding
⁃ Student Housing
⁃ Mandatory Vaccine
⁃ Historic Debt
⁃ GBV & Femicide
The National General Council will be convened under the following conditions:
Date: 10 – 13 December 2021
Venue: Umlazi V Campus, Coastal College in Durban KwaZulu Natal
Time: The plenary session will resume from 16:30, post the registration of delegates.
