  • Is he still breathing?

He was going to turn 27 year old on the 21st of February this year, but nobody knew that disappointments can actually kill.
This time it must have been too much to handle,we all know him,he is a soldier. But maybe some donot know him
His Name is Romeo. One of the few to make it out of the rural Bergville in Kzn in pursuit of higher education.
He seemed to handle him self well in the glamorous city of Johannesburg studying micro-biology in the university of Witwatersrand.
After two successful years the university kicked him out because he could not settle the debt of R10200.00 (growing interest) in the year of 2014. He had fallen, lost hope.remained unemployed for three years but occupied by the N.P.O he had started to help the youth of his village and neighboring towns, dedicated these free days of his youth in helping those whom the odds seemed to be in their favour but lacked clarity and knowledge.
With all the struggles he faced,he did not give up.He enrolled and made it through first year in the University of free state Pursuing a qualification of a Bachelor of Education.
He survived studying on an empty stomach for longer than many may believe to be true.walked to and from school from a small room he rented in the township of Maqhekung.
Along the year He lost many of his belongings to the robbers that had no mercy over a young man dependent only on his single mother who also has to take care of his younger siblings.beside all that,he made it with three distinctions insulting the fact that he lacked all study modules and material prescribed for the subjects due to lack of bursary or financial aid.

For the same reason he is unable to register because he owes the university R33285.81 for the year 2018.

Seems as if someone keeps stealing his silver lining from all the dark clouds he goes through,or maybe it was not there to begin with. What do you say to a dreamer,to a courageous young person whom the system has failed over and over again. How do you explain all this to high school kids who are being told that education is the key to success. How do you explain this parable to a young black child with hopes and dreams.

Romeo is down,he has fallen. Question is,is he still breathing. I my self do not know, but maybe we can resuscitate him.

Below are his details.please be kind and donate what you can.

Hi comrades! ? I need your help on some insight. Last year when I did my application with UNISA I was in hospital so I couldn’t do a proper follow up, I was shattered when discovering I’m not accepted because it’s full so I won’t be registered… I need to know for how long will be delayed because since last year I’ve been trying to enroll but shut down either by NSFAS delaying it’s response till reg closes or by the institution. Kindly help batho baka.
