We wish to take this time and wish Cde Kele strength and speedy recovery as she begins her 14 days quarantine, we shall provide all the necessary support. The Deputy Secretary-General Cde Vezinhlanhla Simelane has since started self-isolating as a primary person exposed and shall go for the Test and we encourage all NEC members despite them not showing symptoms to also go for testing.
SASCO wishes to take this opportunity to remind everyone that the COVID-19 pandemic is real, fatal and is amongst us. The COVID-19 storm has arrived and all of us are required to play our part. We are well aware that anxiety and trauma associated with viruses especially during difficult times like these, lead to stigmatization. The stigmatization is usually associated with a lack of adequate information or just outright fear of the unknown.
Please do not bluetick the symptoms as it presents a risk to you and your loved ones. Remember to always wear masks, wash hands with a bar of soap for 20 seconds with running water and or use 70% alcohol based sanitiser.
We wish to send our deepest condolences to all those who have lost their loved ones and wish the students who are positive strength and speedy recovery.
