The South African Students Congress (SASCO) wishes to take this moment and wish all South African student’s a joyful festive season with their loved ones. In our calendar this time of the year is traditionally the time where loved ones gather to take stock of their achievements and setbacks for the year. Capitalism offers a few days in the month of December for it’s labour to go be with their families and so do institutions.
SASCO particularly wants to encourage our activists to strongly campaign in their respective social spaces to encourage all people, young and older to apply for NSFAS funding and to apply at institutions of higher education who still have their applications open. Let us use our December wisely giving back to our communities, as activists this is the life we have chosen for ourselves. The upcoming 2022 academic year promises to be one filled with a lot of attempted exclusions by institutions, our activists on the ground must be combat ready to confront all kinds of exclusions true to the character of our gallant student movement.
Summer graduations
SASCO takes this opportunity to congratulate all it’s activists and the general student population whom have upheld our principle of lifelong learning and academic excellence. We call on graduates to heed to the call of furthering their studies and pursue postgraduate studies which will be aimed at transforming our communities to be truly post a colonial society. The transformation of our sector and general South African society is everyone’s responsibility, particularly scholars found in our sector.
The revolutionary student movement encourages all those who didn’t make it this year to not give up but ready themselves for 2022. SASCO activist will report to campuses on the 5th of January 2022 to begin the Right To Learn Campaign.
