SASCO would like to take this moment to wish the congress of South African Students a happy 41st anniversary, the student movement has in its 41 years of existence stood firm on the ideal and values of fighting for learner interests across the country to ensure liberties for its learners and ensuring that education becomes central to nation-building.
The movement is one that can not be removed from the fabric of South Africa’s fight for freedom by mobilizing learners across all corners of the country to ensure a mass action against the unjust apartheid system historically, it’s the role in ensuring that we build a politically conscious youth. Their strides to build a politically conscious youth has led the maintaining of the democracy of South Africa and is an interest group of a sector in society.
We urged COSAS to continue wit their nation-building program centralized in basic education and further contribute positively to by offering a feasible policy solution in dealing with basic education. SASCO wishes COSAS a happy Anniversary and wishes the movement many more years of active effective galvanization of learners.
