Editorial Note: 2nd Edition April 2020

“The dialectical method teaches that nature remains in a state of constant change, development and renewal. This can be seen through scientific and even general studies of nature and natural processes. Nothing remains the same” Karl Max

This second edition comes at a time where our country is faced with a pandemic known as Covid-19, the pandemic has compelled our people to change their style of living as we are trying to flatten the curve and limit the spread of this vicious virus.

The humankind has no choice but to adapt to these changes in order to ensure that we continue to move forward as a society. We, therefore, have a responsibility to respond to these challenges faced by our people in particular students. The normal teaching and learning in institutions of higher learning has been suspended due to covid-19, we then have a responsibility to ensure that we provide solutions on how to ensure that we do not lose the academic year. Part of the program that will be able to assist our students is online learning for both Universities and TVET Colleges.

We are aware that the majority of our students comes from disadvantaged backgrounds where there are poor signals which make it difficult for them to engage in an e-Learning. TVET College’s will be mostly affected by the changes because the majority of our colleges have not been exposed to e-Learning, Government has a responsibility to ensure that colleges are not left behind during this process of going online.

On this edition, we have three articles which are diverse and look at various issues such as Organizational Rebuilding and Human Rights reflections, so we have covered the following articles;

> Humans Rights commemoration within Post Schooling Sector in South Africa: A Reflection of a student activist. ~ Cde Thabo Sheme

> Are Black Africans also Human. ~ Cde Mzamo Try Ngobese

> Towards an ethical and Organizational integrity membership of SASCO. ~ Cde Mzobanzi Nkwentsha

We trust that you will enjoy this edition and will motivate you to pen down your own critique and response to continue the debate especially as it relates to current issues facing the higher education sector such as e-Learning, Student Activism and so on.
